Update from Community Development Officer

Come and Try Days
Dalrymple, Moogerah, and Major Mitchell have recently held successful Come and Try Days (averaging at around 20 enquiries!). These events are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Guiding and open it up to your local community. If you are thinking of hosting a Come and Try Day, please contact Caitlin at caitlink@guidesqld.org

Thinking out of the box!
Brisbane North recently participated in a Brisbane Council event called Green Heart Fair. This event focused on promoting innovative green living in a fun, family-friendly environment. As a not for profit organisation, it was free for us to hold a stall. Margaret Nicholls and Shirley Eickenoff ran some fun recycled craft activities and attached a sticker with their Region details to follow up. This was a fantastic opportunity to reach a large audience and showcase Guiding. If you have any ‘out of the box’ ideas and would like some support, reach out to Caitlin at caitlink@guidesqld.org.

Queensland on the Go

For the remainder of 2018, Queensland on the Go will be changing schedule to be published every second month. During this time, our teams will perform a review for the 2019 schedule, considering the communications content, production, usability and potential reach.

All submissions for the August issue of Queensland on the Go are to be submitted by 13 July to qotg@guidesqld.org.
